Dr. Jampa Chophel

Dr. Jampa Chophel has completed Ph.D. from CIHTS. He teaches Tibetan Astroscience, Tibetan language and literature. His research interest focuses on Tibetan astronomical calculation and its components’ description. He specializes in comparing ancient and modern astronomical calculation in addition to translating modern and ancient astronomi text into Tibetan languages, converting all the astronomical calculation into software, teaching modules of astronomical into animation form, develop the astronomical detail more precisely through analyzing on planetary speed and other factors and Buddhist description of astronomical features in terms of meditational practice into mathematical perspective.
