Profile: Dr. Lobsang Dorjee did his Ph.D. from CIHTS and traditional Geshe degree from Drepung Gomang Monastery. He is currently working as Associate Professor in the Restoration Department. His research area involves restoring lost Buddhist and Indian literature from Tibetan to Sanskrit. He also translates works of ancient Indian and Tibetan masters into Sanskrit, English and Hindi. He has made a significant contribution to restoration and translation research work and has been awarded from Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit (Academy), Lucknow and once from Samyak Prakashan, Delhi, 2019.
His key interest is centered on Buddhist and non-Buddhist philosophy, researching on Buddhist scriptures and daily practice, preparing documents for publication, critical editing, searching for reference sources from Kagyur/Tangyur/Sungbum of different Tibetan editions.
Apart from his regular duty he composes research texts and articles and guides Ph.D. research students. He has conducted and attended many International and National Seminars, Workshops, Symposiums and Conferences in the campus and other states. He visited several Indian states and abroad for a survey of Buddhist manuscripts. He is actively involved in many social work activities.

Profile: Acharya Ngawang Gyaltsen Negi did his Acharya (MA) from CIHTS as well as Sampurnanand Sanskrit University. He subsequently registered for his Ph.D. at CIHTS. He is currently working as Research Assistant, Restoration Department. His research area involves restoring lost Indian Buddhist Sanskrit texts and its literature from Tibetan. He has also translated and edited Buddhist canons and allied subjects of ancient Indian and Tibetan master’s works into Sanskrit, Tibetan and Hindi. He has made significant contributions in restoration, translation and research works as well as compiling Buddhist Vinaya terminology terms.
His key interest is centered on Buddhist and non-Buddhist philosophy, researching on Buddhist studies and daily practice, preparing documents for publication, critical editing, searching for reference sources from Kagyur/Tangyur/Sungbum editions.
Apart from his academic responsbilities is composing research text and articles, conducting and attending the International, National Seminars, Workshop, Symposium, Conference and local meetings. He constantly engaged in Buddhist manuscript surveys under the collaboration project work with other institutions.
