Sowa-Rigpa Faculty Library & Museum

Sowa-Rigpa is one of the intellectual heritages of Tibet and its neighboring countries, having flourished with many schools of medicine as center of learning and medical education. However, it cannot be restored or extend beyond certain limit unless a reorganization and transformation of the information science is developed and furnished for further dissemination. Despite its importance, there is an urgent need to restore the intellectual properties and providing information and reference service center, through the establishment of Library that will aim at development of specialized and integrated interest of Sowa-Rigpa, sharing and exploration of information at many levels and organization and preservation of Sowa-Rigpa literatures and manuscripts in the form of digital images using high-density storage media.
