Assistant Professor of Geography
(Contractual)
Profile: Jampa Thupten holds a B.Ed. (Pune University), M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Geography from Karnataka University, Dharwad and teaches Geography in the Department of Education, C.T.E. His teaching responsibilities are in various branches of Geography, Practical and Teaching of geography to B.A.B.Ed. (Integrated course) and B.Ed. He has also coordinated various workshops, seminars, webinar etc; at C.T.E; C.I.H.T.S.
His research interest is centred on Urbanisation in Coastal Karnataka: A Geographical Analysis. In this context, he found out various issues related to people living in the coastal areas.
He is interested in making students learn geography through out door by encouraging them to visit outside for various geographical phenomena and relate them with their studies from in-door.
Assistant Professor of Buddhist Philosophy and Logic (Contractual)
Profile: Geshe Lobsang Gyatso is from Drepung Gomang Monastic University Mundgod where he completed Geshe degree, after studing Vinaya, Abhidharma, Madhyamika, Prajnaparamita and epistemology.In addition, he has been a science leadership Fellow (2008-13) from Library of Tibetan Works and Archives (Center for Tibetan Studies), and was awarded certificate on completion for a five-year curriculum in Mathematics, Biology, Neuroscience and Physics from Emory University in U.S.A.
He is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Buddhist Philosophy and Teaches Science, Math and Tibetan Grammar etc. through Dialectics at Centre for Teacher Education, Faculty of Shabda Vidya.
His research interest is centered on how to teach science, Math, Tibetan grammar through dialectics. Geshe Lobsang also writes on teaching Science, Math and Tibetan Grammar through Dialectics and Epistemology. Geshe Lobsang Gyatso has special interest in organizing workshops on teaching various subjects through dialectics besides reading books

Profile: Dr. Krishna Pandey did her Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. She is currently working as Assistant Professor of Political Science in C.T.E., CIHTS, Sarnath, Varanasi. Her research interest is centred on Women in Vinoba Bhave’s Thought, Feminism Western and Indian Perspective, Western Political Thought, Indian Political Thought and Fundamental Rights.

Profile: Shushmita Vatsyayan is pursuing Ph.D. (submitted) from Banaras Hindu University and teaches English at the Centre for Teacher Education. She uses literature as a means to stimulate the consciousness of students. The spectrum of her teaching practice is vast and dynamic, comprising different fragments of English literature – Indian Writing in English, Literary Criticism, History of English Literature, Poetry and Drama. Her research area centres on African American theatre, feminist consciousness, and Dalit literature.

Profile: Dr. Susheel Kumar Singh did his Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He is currently working as Assistant Professor of Hindi in the Center for Teacher Education. His teaching area involves Hindi fiction, Modern Poetry, History of Hindi Literature, Grammar and Poetics.

Profile: Tenzin Namgang holds Acharya degree from CIHTS and is pursuing Ph.D. from Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan (West Bengal), on “A Study of Early Buddhist Chronicles Preserved in Tibetan Sources with Special Reference to Mahāvaṁsa.” He teaches Tibetan History in Centre for Teacher Education of institution. His area of teaching is the ancient to modern history of Tibet by analyzing Tibet during different era.
He shows keen interest in study the origin of Tibetan civilization, formation of Tibetan plateau and its dynamic role in the existence of Asia’s population. He constantly invests himself in world and Indian history to understand Tibetan history from different dimensions. He is also interested in Buddhist Philosophy, Sanskrit and Indian Buddhist chronology. He has coordinated webinars, workshops and seminars to enhance students’ knowledge in his subject. He also has published various articles on different platforms.

Tashi Dhondup, as a scholar and educator is deeply rooted in Buddhist studies. His academic journey ledhim to achieve Acharya (Master) degree from the renowned Ngagyur Nyingmapa Institute in Bylakuppe,Karnataka, specializing in higher Buddhist studiesand research.His interest in the world of literature andknowledge dissemination began with a year-long editorial role at Ngagyur Rigzod Editorial post.Subsequently, he continued to contribute to the field by working as an editor for NyingmaTreasure(གཏེར་ཆོས།)in Nepal.
Transitioning from editorial pursuits,hispassion for sharing knowledge led to the role of an educator.Hededicatedhimselfto teaching Tibetan language, literature, and Buddhist philosophy in the enrichinglandscapes of Sikkim and Kalimpong. In 2018,heembraced a new chapter inhiscareer by joining theCentral Institute ofHigher Tibetan BuddhistStudies,Sarnath as a Tibetan language and literature teacherin the Department of Education.Hiscommitment lies not only in academic excellence but also in thepreservation and dissemination of the profound teachings of Tibetan Buddhism.

Anil Kumar Gupta is pursuing Ph.D. in Education from Banaras Hindu University and teaches at the Centreof Teacher Educationin CIHTS. His teaching interests span around Psychological foundation of education,Gender Education, Value Education, Educational Technology and Pedagogy of English.His research endeavour focuses on portrayal and construction of men and masculinities through text booksand other children’s literature. He remains constantly invested in learning and practice of innovativeteaching strategies to make learning effective and empowering to the students. He organises workshopsand classroom activities for the creationof prospective teacher who can contribute to make democratic,gender just and value based society
Mrs.Reena Pandey holds a degree in Master of Arts (Sociology) and has also pursued Diploma courses in Computer and Financial Accounting. She is currently working as Office Assistant, Member of Execution Committee and is also the in-charge of Language Lab. Along with having the training she also has a vastexperience of handling the PFMS portal efficiently.Her job responsibilities are office related works that are spread out through the fields of managing teacher’swork affairs, NMTT Portal,PFMS Portal, Webinars/Workshops/other academic activities, Activity reports,Annual Progress Report, etc.PFMS, Tally and Accounting are the fields she keeps exploring due to her keen interest in these.
