Profile: Dr. Karma Sonam Palmo holds a Ph.D. from the University of Tasmania (School of Humanities: Asian Philosophy & Gender Studies), Australia. She works as a Research Assistant in the Dictionary Department of Research Section. She is currently working on a Tri-Lingual Abhidharma Thematic Dictionary (Tibetan-Sanskrit-English). Besides working on her main dictionary project, she teaches English in the Dept. of Classical and Modern Languages, Faculty of Shabda Vidya. She has taught courses on Buddhist Philosophy (Abhidharma); Gender and Buddhism; and Women in Buddhism as a Visiting Faculty in Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Sikkim, India and Smith College, MA, USA. Her research interests are Abhidharma and Yogacara Buddhist Philosophies; Women in Buddhism; Buddhism and Gender; and Buddhist Narrative & Hagiographic Literature.

Profile: Lobsang Choedon did her Ph.D. from CIHTS. She is currently working as Research Assistant as contractual basis in the Dictionary Department since 2005.
She is compiling a Tibetan Astro-Science Dictionary (Tibetan-Sanskrit). Apart from this, she is keenly interested in comparative work between Sanskrit and Tibetan Astrology Texts, especially texts such as Shigrabodh and Jyotish Ratna Mala. So far, she has translated all the residual Tibetan stanzas that the renowned scholar Situ Panchen Rinpoche had skipped translation from Sanskrit version when he composed in the Tibetan stanzas. She has also written Tibetan commentary on the newly translated works.
She has also been engaged in various office-related works of the Dictionary Department.
Associate Professor of Kargyud Sampradaya Shastra
Dr. Ramesh Chandra Negi holds a PhD Degree from CIHTS, Sarnath, Varanasi. Currently, he is Associate Professor in Department of Sampradaya Shastra (Kargyud) under the Faculty of Hetu Evam Adhyatma Vidya and as an additional duty he is the Chief Editor (Prof.) of Dictionary Department. At present, along with teaching work of Kargyud Sampradaya Shastra, he is engaged in editing and translating works of texts of Dictionary Department and Kargyud Sampradaya.
Teaching Tibetan Buddhist Philosophy, Restoration, Translation, Editing and Vipassana Meditation are the fields of his specialization.
He has 32 books published, 14 books in progress of publication and about 90 other publications such as research papers and translated texts.

Profile: Dr. Tashi Tsering holds a Ph.D. degree from CIHTS. Presently he is working as Research Assistant in the Research Department of the institute. His work entails lexicography, restoration of texts, translation, research and editing. He is proficient in Tibetan, Hindi, Sanskrit, English and Pali. His areas of interest include study of ancient Buddhist archaeological sites, Buddhist Religion and Philosophy and Vipassana meditation.

Profile: Mr. Tenzin Sidon joined CIHTS in 1990 and received Acharya degree in 2000. After graduation he served in the Director’s office of CUTS as TA. In 2013 he was appointed as Research Asstt. in the Department of Dictionary.

Profile: Dr. Vishwa Prakash Tripathi has obtained the degree of Vidyavaridhi (Ph.D.) in Nyaya-Darshan from Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Varanasi. Currently he is working as Research Assistant (Contract) in the Dictionary Department of CIHTS and he is teaching philosophy and literature in the Sanskrit Department of the Institute. Dr. Tripathi is involved in the lexicography, editing, translation and transliterates the ancient manuscripts.
