Sewage Treatment Plant
An important contribution to environmental protection of the campus was in the form of the installation of an on-site sewage treatment plant (STP) which purifies and recycles the water to be reused to maintain the gardens and flowerbeds. It treats the complete waste and unused water generated from toilets, kitchen and floor cleaning based on the fluidized media reactor technology (FMR) with the capacity of 150 cum per day. The treated water is reused for irrigation and other purpose which reduces the exploitation of underground water and reduces the consumption of electricity also.
