As per National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines, every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution’s system and works towards the realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.

To fulfil the noble vision of NAAC, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at CIHTS has been established as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of the institute since 15th April, 2010.

The floral chakra is a depiction of the enduring Buddhist Heritage of Sarnath. The blazing sword of Bodhisattva Manjushri is symbolic of discernment and knowledge that cuts through the darkness of ignorance. The colours blue and orange represent Sky & Sun respectively. Together, in a simple and sophisticated layout, they constitute the logo of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies (CIHTS) which is committed to developing a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of this institution and promoting its holistic academic excellence.

As depicted in our logo, the primary responsibility of IQAC, CIHTS is to ensure the quality at various levels and sectors of the Institute. It ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of measures taken used to provide high-quality education and evaluates the degree to which each task is fulfilled.
