NOTICE BOARD  

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF CIHTS

The alumni association of Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies (CIHTS) is a non-profit organization composed of alumni members, located and positioned across the world, on a voluntary basis, with a view to preserve and carry forward the rich academic traditions of CIHTS; to strengthen then the connection between the alumni at home and abroad.

Established in 2015, AACIHTS proudly represents various members who play an important role in social development, academic growth and cultural revitalization. The great achievements they make have gained high reputation for their alma mater. In order to strengthen the association between alumni at home and abroad, as well as alumni and alma mater, and also to serve our alumni, the board of Governors of CIHTS passed the decision to establish the Alumni Association of CIHTS on 10th January, 2015 and has been working productively since then. The Association serves the alumni, carrying out a variety of activities.

The square shape at the corner represents equality without inequality. The circle within it represents peace. The syllable ‘Ah’ at the centre is the single letter of prajñāpāramitā (Wisdom of perfection) which is the ultimate essence of the entire teaching of Buddha. The color blue resembling color of sky denotes the nature of phenomena.
