Water Recharging System
The receding of the ground water level has been a major problem causing the water shortages in Sarnath. As a futuristic step in 2003, a project was initiated to recharge rainwater back to the ground. Rainwater from the roofs is channeled through pipes to the wells that filters down more than 300 feet. In this way, the ground water level has been significantly raised, contributing to more efficient distribution of water on the campus.
