Ven. Lobsang Choedak

Lobsang Choedak is pursuing Ph.D. at CIHTS and has been teaching Tibetan language & literature in the department of Tibetan language & literature, Faculty of Shabda Vidya since 2018 as a Guest Faculty. His teaching responsibilities are Tibetan Grammar, Lexicography, Phonetics, Tibetan Poetry, folklore, drama, fiction, World Literature in Tibetan, Sanskrit rasa theory in Tibetan and practical Tibetan poetry writing etc.

He is currently doing research on the topic “An Analysis and Tibetan Translation of the Fifth Chapter ‘Rasa Vivecana’ of the Sarasvatī Kaṇṭhābharaṇa along with the Usages of Rasas in the Jātakamālā of Ăryaśūra”. His research interest includes Sanskrit Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Sanskrit language and literature, Tibetan language and literature. He is a prolific writer in Tibetan.
