Dr. Lobsang Choedon

Lobsang Choedon did her Ph.D. from CIHTS. She is currently working as Research Assistant as contractual basis in the Dictionary Department since 2005.

She is compiling a Tibetan Astro-Science Dictionary (Tibetan-Sanskrit). Apart from this, she is keenly interested in comparative work between Sanskrit and Tibetan Astrology Texts, especially texts such as Shigrabodh and Jyotish Ratna Mala. So far, she has translated all the residual Tibetan stanzas that the renowned scholar Situ Panchen Rinpoche had skipped translation from Sanskrit version when he composed in the Tibetan stanzas. She has also written Tibetan commentary on the newly translated works.

She has also been engaged in various office-related works of the Dictionary Department.
