Student Placement and Incubation Cell
The nature of the curriculum structure at CIHTS is different from other universities. Unlike other universities, the Institute though does not directly prepare students to become entrepreneurs yet the need to develop the skill oriented tendency among the students is the important feature of their curriculum structure. This is where the Student Placement and Incubation Cell bridges the gap between the university education and the demand of the corporate sector. The cell maintains the data of all the students placed in different parts of the world and disseminate the appropriate and timely information about the job vacancies meant for the students of CIHTS. The cell also runs a couple of skill development programmes in the areas of Fine Arts and Sowa-Rigpa. The cell keeps on organizing various training, skill development and awareness programmes for the students. In the span of its establishment of two years, the cell has provided a platform for the students to develop a realistic understanding of the industry and requirements of the job market.
Objectives of the cell:
- Assist students in preparing their resumes, cover letters, and help them to face mock interviews
- Enhance the understanding for better career planning and job search strategies
- Help students to identify appropriate job opportunities in recruitment drives
- Coordinate with Alumni and industry professionals to provide networking opportunities for students
- Organize various skill development programmes and career awareness drives
- Maintain data base of students and alumni, track their progress and placement status
- Organize campus recruitment drives by both governmental and non-governmental agencies
- Invite industry experts to deliver special talks
